Dr. Hirsch is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Prior to his pursuit of medical training, Dr. Hirsch served in the U.S. Navy as a Bombardier/Navigator from 1986 to 1994. He completed a residency in Radiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center in 2005. He then served the U.S. Army as a Radiologist between 2005 and 2012. Dr. Hirsch also deployed with the 28th Combat Support Hospital to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 to 2007. After his Army retirement in 2012, he completed a fellowship in Informatics and Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is currently a member of the Community Radiology group in the Department of Radiology.
