Co-founder, NextStep Robotics | Former Clinical Research Specialist, University of Maryland School of Medicine
Brad has worked with his co-founders since 2008 coordinating exercise and technology integrated exercise research studies for them and a number of other researchers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the Baltimore VA Healthcare System. It was in this role he realized a real need to create a pathway for the research being done to be translated into actual clinical use. The first step towards this goal was to create NextStep Robotics, a rehabilitation robotics company he formed to license technology from UMB and the VA. To date Brad has successfully lead a team of engineers to create a prototype that uses their technology and successfully demoed that device to raise $900K in investments/funding commitments.
